I have had the distinct pleasure of living inside two biospheres. 我十分荣幸地 在两个生态圈中生活过。

Back in the mid-'80s when we were designing Biosphere 2, we had to ask ourselves some pretty basic questions. 当我们在80年代中期设计生态圈2的时候 我们必须问到自己很多基础问题。

And we wanted to know this both for being able to go somewhere else in the universe -- if we were going to go to Mars, for instance , would we take a biosphere with us, to live in it? 我们想知道这能不能在 宇宙另外的地方建成,比如,我们要去火星的时候, 我们可以带上生态圈在里面生活吗?
